Your Mortgage Expert celebrates 11 years of helping homebuyers

Salisbury based mortgage brokerage Your Mortgage Expert is celebrating its 11th anniversary on 25 August 2026. This marks more than a decade of helping people buy homes, remortgage and navigate an increasingly complex mortgage market.

Since launching in 2015, Your Mortgage Expert has grown from a local Salisbury mortgage business into an established team of advisers helping clients across Wiltshire and throughout the UK.

While the business has grown, its focus has remained firmly on providing personal, straightforward mortgage advice and building long term relationships with clients.

Referrals and Recommendations

That approach is reflected in one of the firm’s most important measures of success: recommendations. Recent business figures show that around 35% of genuine new enquiries came through referrals and recommendations, meaning more than one in three new enquiries came from someone who had been recommended to Your Mortgage Expert by another client or contact.

During its 11 years in business, Your Mortgage Expert has also built up more than 200 five star Google reviews, with clients sharing their experiences of the advice and support they have received.

The team helps people at many different stages of home ownership, from first time buyers taking their first steps onto the property ladder through to families moving home, people remortgaging and landlords looking at buy to let options.

The firm has also developed considerable experience helping clients whose circumstances may not fit neatly into a standard mortgage application, including self employed applicants, contractors, people with more complex income arrangements and those looking at specialist mortgage options.

Although Your Mortgage Expert remains firmly rooted in Salisbury, technology has enabled the team to work with clients much further afield, with telephone and video appointments allowing advisers to help people throughout the UK.

National recognition alongside local success

The past year has brought further recognition for the Your Mortgage Expert team.

Adam Nanson has again been recognised as a VouchedFor Top Rated Adviser, an accolade based on feedback from verified clients.

Closer to home, Your Mortgage Expert was also named Best Mortgage Broker in Salisbury for 2026 by the Quality Business Awards.

It is the third consecutive year the business has received the Salisbury award, following wins in 2024 and 2025.

For the team, however, remaining part of the local community is just as important as national recognition.

“We have worked through periods of extremely low interest rates, the pandemic, rapidly increasing rates, changing affordability rules and a much more complex lending environment.

Looking ahead to the next chapter

As Your Mortgage Expert enters its 12th year, the business is continuing to develop the range of mortgage and financial services it can offer while maintaining the personal approach on which it was built.
