Josh and Louise were looking to move out of South London to Surrey with their family. They spoke to Adam Nanson from Your Mortgage Expert in order to arrange their home mover mortgage. Louise tells us about their experience as a Moving Home Mortgage Customer of his:
“We fell in love with our house and offered them slightly over our budget. It was a huge mortgage, but Josh had just had a pay rise, so we thought we could afford it if we could get the mortgage company to take this into account. There was no way we would have the time and knowledge to sort this out, or be able to afford it if we didn’t get the right deal. We definitely wanted some expert help.
“We were recommended Adam by a family member, so he was the first person we thought of to help us. We have used mortgage brokers before, but we had more trust that an independent mortgage adviser would get us the right deal.
“The current owners had a really tight deadline on the property that they wanted to buy, so there was huge pressure to get everything done quickly. We had to exchange in just over a month and complete in 8 weeks.
“Adam found us a mortgage but the company didn’t normally move that fast. He had to work hard with them to get us out of their normal system so that the surveyors would come in quickly. Without that, the whole deal would have been off. He handled all the paperwork and kept the pressure on to ensure the deal didn’t fall through.
“I would absolutely recommend Adam to anyone looking for a mortgage broker. It was an extremely stressful time, and there were many sticky patches with the chain, but it was a huge help and relief that Adam knew the industry, and the system so well.
“He was always so calm and helpful. Even our estate agents were impressed and commented on how well he had managed the mortgage company. They said they had never known a mortgage broker to get that kind of result.”
